“This building has been transformed through the public engagement.” Joe Ramia, CEO Rank Inc., Nova Centre Developer
A 6 month participatory public engagement project on the Nova Centre, a $550 million development in the heart of Halifax Nova Scotia. The engagement includes interactive events, online/social media and creative street engagement.
From the Chronicle Herald: “I’m thrilled to see really good-looking architecture for downtown that is creative and engages with the reality of what our downtown is about,” said Marilyn Sweet, a Falmouth resident who works in downtown Halifax. “I think it is going to bring new life and I have really appreciated the consultations.”
The session at Pier 21 on the waterfront wrapped up a series of public meetings that Joe Ramia, developer of the Nova Centre, which will include the convention centre and other components, has held around the province since July.
“This is a better project than we had before we embarked on the consultation,” Ramia told the crowd.
