"How can we innovate audit so that it best serves society?"
Henry Irving, Head of the Audit and Assurance Faculty of ICAEW
The goal of the AuditFutures initiative is to create a space that currently does not exist, to ask big questions about the future of the audit profession. It aims at creating opportunities for dialogue between stakeholders who normally do not talk to one another, and at building relationships, trust and greater understanding between those stakeholders. This proven approach will create an opportunity for collaborative and creative solutions to emerge.
Innovation at the heart of ICAEW’s strategy: The stakes are high in the audit and assurance public policy debate and we understand the importance of taking the initiative in the audit reform and assurance debates. Our strategy is to innovate, promote the value of audit and assurance and address the criticisms levelled at the profession. The Audit and Assurance Faculty of ICAEW believe that innovation should be at the heart of the profession’s strategy to audit reform, and we have developed an initiative to open dialogue with a wide range of diverse stakeholders to drive innovation.
