"The current dialogue on forestry issues isn’t helping any of us. The more entrenched we become in our respective positions, the more fragmented we are across the issues. We are losing our ability to find an innovative path forward at the very time we need one most. We think it’s possible to build a better path forward together." Forestry Summit invitation letter
“The current dialog on forestry issues isn’t helping any of us. The challenges and concerns are getting worse, and yet we keep doing the same things we’ve always done. We need to build a better path forward together. You’re invited to participate in a strategic session with key influencers in the current state of forestry in Nova Scotia.
The complexity of issues we face demand that we talk. The past few months have demonstrated that the more entrenched we become in our respective positions the greater the fragmentation there is across the issues. The result is that we are losing our ability to innovate a path forward at the very time we need it most.” Forestry Summit Invitation
Tim and the team ran a one day conference bringing together key stakeholders from across this highly adversarial sector. Participants included environmental activists, private woodlot owners, pulp mill owners, industry representatives, senior government decision makers, policy makers and entrepreneurs. The session laid the foundation for the Forestry Lab - an innovative approach to reviving the forest economy.
